Our Seafare Salad and Octopus is supplied in hermetically sealed
jars of 1Kg and 2.2Kg, made from polyethylene teraphthalate (PET), which ensures a shelf life of nine months and is recyclable.
The new unit is highly efficient, hygienic and safe, meeting all the European food standards and HACCP requirements whilst minimising its carbon footprint. For instance, by linking our refrigeration equipment to a heat recovery system, we can re-use the energy and reduce our electricity consumption.
Alongside the new production unit, we are creating a commercial kitchen where Nigel can turn his creative ideas for inventive fish and seafood products into large scale batches. Using fishing industry technology for chilling we achieve surprisingly long shelf life without preservatives and without destroying the subtle flavours and textures of the food.
Our latest diversification into the ‘cook-chill’ sector of food production, gives us huge potential to vary and
dramatically increase our product portfolio for existing customers, as well as helping Seafare attract new customers.
New Range of Classic Fish Soup launched at Food & Drink Expo in March 2010
The first new product to come out of Nigel’s kitchen is our range of delicious and authentic seafood soups. Each one is based on a scratch-made stock, imparting the essence of classic fish soup, created in Devon using local and regional catch.
What is more, these tasty soups are superior in flavour and texture, containing increased quantities of fish or seafood.
In fact, the Devon Crab Soup recently won a coveted two star Gold in the fiercely contested Great Taste Awards run nationally by the Guild of Fine Foods.
